ABOUT ME

I create decorative flowers based on textile culture, hoping to bring joy and happiness into people’s everyday lives.

The starting point of my flower making goes back to a time

when I was given a sudden terminal diagnosis and spent my days in a hospital room that felt cold and without any sense of season.

During that time, one thought stayed strongly with me:

“If I could move, I would like to fill hospital rooms all over the world with flowers.”

That feeling became the origin of my flower making and continues to guide my work today.

Structure, texture, and color of materials—I place my thoughts into each of these elements and create flowers meant to be given as messages.

While continuing my work based on textile thinking, I learned that fibers can be made from branches and wood of plants that have finished their role.

In those fibers, I felt a story of healing, recovery, and renewal,

and a wish to treat them with care naturally grew within me.

Choosing plant-based regenerated fibers means

connecting with ideas such as “continuing life” and “blooming again.”

They are materials in which I felt a quiet connection to myself,

and I use them with a sense of good fortune and respect.

I hope my flower felt works can stay close to people’s lives

and bring joy, happiness, and hope.

With this wish in my heart, I continue creating.
